Technical Office Director, stage layout designer and designer of scenic mechanisms.

Since 1995, he has worked as Head of Stage Machinery at Teatro Calderón de la Barca in Valladolid. Between 2001 and 2006, he collaborated as Assistant Technical Director and Deputy Head of Stage Machinery at the National Drama Centre (Centro Dramático Nacional) and Teatro María Guerrero in Madrid, actively participating in the technical management of highly complex stage productions.

From 2005 onwards, he became a partner and managing director of El Telar Rigging SL, a company specialised in rigging, assembly and work at height. During this period, he developed extensive expertise in suspension systems and stage assembly, essential for ensuring safety, efficiency and technical quality in scenic productions and live events.

Between 2006 and 2012, he was a partner at Mambo Decorados SL, a company dedicated to the construction of theatrical scenery, where he was involved in the development of stage layouts, general arrangement drawings, construction details and scenic manufacturing processes.

In parallel, through Teater, he collaborated between 2007 and 2017 as an Assistant Scenic Designer, producing technical and artistic drawings and carrying out technical production tasks on a wide range of stage projects.

In 2018, together with Joan Altimir, he co-founded TAGA Proyectos Escénicos SL, consolidating a shared project focused on stage engineering, the technical development of theatrical installations and the implementation of safe and efficient scenic solutions.

In recent years, he has also promoted the creation of TRAMOYA, a workshop specialised in the development, design, construction and sale of metal structures and technical components for the entertainment industry, expanding TAGA’s scope towards the in-house manufacture of technical solutions for shows and scenic spaces.

At TAGA Proyectos Escénicos, Carlos demonstrates a strong commitment to technical precision, reliability and excellence in the design and execution of projects, delivering solutions tailored to the specific needs of the entertainment and performing arts sectors.

Industrial Technical Engineer, specialised in stage engineering and industrial safety.

Since 2004, he has been a partner and engineer at Altimir Enginyeria, a firm specialised in the development of industrial safety projects and in providing comprehensive advisory services in prevention and safety for various industrial sectors.

His professional background is not limited to the industrial field, but extends naturally into the world of stage and theatre engineering. This unique combination of technical and industrial expertise with the creative demands of the performing arts has enabled him to adapt industrial regulations and safety criteria to theatrical environments, delivering reliable, safe solutions tailored to the real conditions of stage spaces.

This blend of technical and industrial knowledge has been a key factor in the development of stage engineering projects for theatres, successfully adapting safety standards and regulatory requirements to the specific needs of scenic installations.

In 2018, together with Carlos González, he promoted the creation of TAGA Proyectos Escénicos SL, with the aim of providing specialised consultancy, technical direction and leadership in the execution of stage installation projects, as well as in the design and manufacture of technical components and scenic products.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous leading performing arts venues, including Teatro Coliseum, Teatro de la Comedia, Teatro María Guerrero, Teatro Real and the National Ballet of Spain in the Community of Madrid, as well as Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Teatre Lliure in Barcelona and Teatre Jardí in Figueres, among others.

At both TAGA Proyectos Escénicos and Altimir Enginyeria, he demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, technical rigour and excellence in the design and execution of projects, delivering solutions tailored to the specific needs of clients in both the industrial and scenic sectors.
